Style Stalker: PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week Day 1

Check out the fashionistas I spotted on day 1 of the red carpet of PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week:

Fatima and Waleed Zaman looking super stylish. I love Fatima's floral jeans and her ombre clutch box clutch. I also love how the they have both paired their outfits with traditional khussas. I love Waleed's leather khussas and his neon green pants.
Meher, Khadija and Samin look fabulous in Elan. Love the bright lip shades.
Misha Lakhani looks stunning and I love how she is glowing!!
Tapu's blazer is super cool! Check out the truck art motifs on it. How's that for a twist
on a classic black blazer?
I wish I had a full length picture of Sania Maskatiya but she looks FAB in her own design. I adore the jacket. Tres chic!!!!
An aerial view of Sania Maskatiya's collection being showcased. What fun!! So sad to have missed it!!

Who do you think stands out the most?

Quick Pics: Sana Safinaz Go High Street With Their Store Launch!!

Sana Safinaz launched their pret wear at their very own high street store at Dolmen City Mall. The launch was an absolute success. It is so amazing to see how Sana Safinaz have got their branding spot on, and the way they market themselves and have expanded is truly one of a kind in Pakistan! I am very impressed (and highly inspired) with them and their hardworking team.

The clothes and accessories at the store were so tastefully beautiful, but then again I wouldn't expect anything less from the fashion gurus; Sana and Safinaz. I was also extremely happy to see the price points - everything is so so affordable. From the trendy kurtas, to the jewellery, to the bags, belts, and footwear. Usually, I travel and to stock up on my wardrobe but I think before I leave for my summer vacation this year I will buy a bunch of beautiful Sana Safinaz pieces to wear!! This is Pakistani fashion history in the making.

Below are some pictures I took, which will give you an idea of how amazing this store is - the display and arrangements are divine with not a single detail being overlooked - including the lovely giveaway bags!!!

Ensemble Du Jour... Popsicle Shift by Pershe and Cashhimi!

Hi all,

Today I bring to you an outfit I have been wanting to blog about for ages, but only got the chance to wear it last night to the Sana Safinaz store launchl!! I am wearing a Pershe by Kauser Humayun outfit - I like to call this outfit the 'Popsicle Shift' - it is so beautifully feminine with the soft pastel colours and panels - not to mention it is perfect for the summer. I have paired the outfit with a python skin metallic CASHHIMI clutch (I had blogged about the beautiful CASHHIMI bags here) and light pink Louboutins.

Kauser Humayun sums up her brand philosophy for 'Pershe' as "clothing which can accentuate a physique, is comfortably wearable and versatile enough to be worn on several occasions. I also love to introduce new trends which in the beginning are acceptable to the adventurous few, but soon take off as a popular trend." - I actually can't wait to wear the 'Popsicle Shift' as a dress during my summer vacay with a waist belt. So stay tuned as I'll be posting some more pictures soon of me wearing this in a totally different style. Kausar Humayun also adds that the 'Pershe' signature style is "modern classics with well structured silhouettes, alongside strategically placed design element(s)."

Just when I thought I was done with the hand on hip pose.. here I go again, haha..

Pershe by Kauser Humayun is currently stocked at Tehzeeb and L'Atelier in Lahore. Labels in Karachi (as well as on the Style 360 Labels eStore) and Saadia's Fashion House in Manchester. The designer has future plans in opening flagship stores in Karachi, Lahore and eventually exporting internationally. For couture pieces Kauser Humayun can be contacted herself at kauserhumayun@gmail.com, on 0300 8468848 and on the website.

The ultra gorgeous CASHHIMI bags can be purchased here. Sigh, I want them all.

Shiraz Samad: Fairy Goth Mother

You guys must know by now that I am always on the look out for different designs and campaigns. When I came across this look book, I absolutely fell in love the design aesthetic used - it is so different to your typical fashion campaign/look-book - The brand itself plays along the lines of being fun, being different and standing out in a crowd. This collection titled 'Fairy Goth Mother' is also very spot on with the skull/stud and pops of neon trend.

Shiraz Samad is a Dubai based fashion house and he has studied fashion in Birmingham for eight years. For order enquiries you can email him here.

Picture Diary: Styling Ayesha Hasan's Collection for Fashion Pakistan Week 5

Hi all,

I styled two shows this FPW, and the best part was that both the concepts were poles apart. Ayesha Hasan's S/S'13 collection 'Zillij' was inspired by Moroccan architecture and gota work. The gota jackets are my favourite pieces from the collection. I loved the warm colours used with the hints of gold used, giving a very traditional yet modern chic look. The thing I love about Ayesha's collection is that it is extremely wearable, you can take it from the ramp to street style - I think Ayesha Hasan has totally nailed it. Not to mention how affordable the pieces are. You can buy the collection on the Style360 Labels eStore.

The concept behind the styling was to bring out a fusion of the ethnic and western look - the prints and designs are very Moroccan inspired, where as the silhouettes are very modern day - so I wanted to go a little ethnic with the styling as well, hence the models went barefooted on the runway as well. Hand made head jewels (matha pattis) and foot jewels were made, the models had their hair braided to the side with golden strings. Heavy winged liner and burgundy lips were the staple beauty look for this collection. It was my first time styling a collection and we literally had 10 minutes backstage to get the models ready but I was very happy with the outcome. A very hectic but fun experience!!!

I'll let the pictures speak for themselves:
