Best Dressed: The Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2013

Let’s take a closer look at the stars that shone the brightest!

Elizabeth Banks looked gorgeous in an Alexander McQueen gown and a honeycomb McQueen clutch! Minimal jewels have been adorned because this gown made enough of a statement on its own!! Love women that embrace colour (and prints) - so totally feeling this look. Love the tortoise belt
and the not-so-traditional hair do!
Amy Adams looked classy in a silver fringed Oscar De La Renta dress. This is a prime example on how a women should dress for their body type - this gown is extremely flattering on Amy. The clenched waist accentuates her waistline and her pulled back hair gives the whole look an elegant feel.
She is also rocking the metallic trend, which can be quick tricky.
Miranda Kerr was an absolute vision in Valentino – but then again does she ever look bad? She looks totally flawless from head to toe. Love the sheer sexiness of the dress.. quite literally!! As well as the subtle embellishments on the dress.  Miranda’s bright lips add colour to the look, and her old Hollywood style hair adds an air of grace - like she has stepped off a red carpet from the 1920’s. Beautiful!
Jennifer Lawrence looked divine in a metallic two tone Calvin Klein dress with a chic pulled back hair do. Once again, this is a prime example of metallic pulled off beautifully.  Love the silhouette of the dress and how it is figure-hugging in all the right spots.
Lily Collins chose a dazzling Zuhair Murad couture dress for the event. Love the midnight blue sequins against her pale skin and her sleek pulled back hair, thick brows, nude lip and sapphire drop earrings. If you are noticing, the trend is certainly pointing towards an emphasized waist – gone is the trend where you’re falling over in an excess of fabric. We are in awe of the form flattering look! We must add, we love how Zuhair plays with risqué lace, if worn correctly the outcome is so classy! (Hint hint Kirsten Stewart!).
Kate Bosworth looked exquisite in a short, heavily embellished Giambattista Valli dress – loving the pastel colour palette  with the mint green and soft pink contrasted by a deep pink lip and a braided up-do!
Zoe Saldana opted for a classic black Givenchy dress – she definitely pulled off the look well, because we don’t think many people can wear this particular dress in the manner she has, especially with the peplum waist and the frill at the bottom. The red lip really adds to the classic look.
Minnie Driver sparkled in a Johanna Johnson form fitting sequined dress with a plunging neckline and a slight trail. We think she looks radiant; however we might have picked a different coloured clutch! Love her pulled back hair do.
Marisa Tomei pulled off a very daring look in a Valentino jumpsuit, we rarely see jumpsuits at such events, we think Marisa has pulled off the look flawlessly. Love her voluminous loose curls and subtle make up. Very glamorous Marisa!!!
Midnight blue was certainly the colour of the night! You cannot get your eyes of Maria Sharapova in an Amanda Wakeley Demi couture gown. The gold embellishments on the bust are divine and we love how she has accessorized with gold cuffs on both wrists. Her middle parting is spot on and she
reminds us of a modern day Cleopatra.
We could not leave out Tom Ford off our 'best dressed' list - he looked exceptionally handsome in a double breasted blazer and a bow tie and a floral broach and white pocket square.
Rose Byrne looked gorgeous in Lanvin, love the cut outs and high slit in the front, she carried a Swarovski clutch and work diamond and pearl drop earrings with very high pumps. We love this look. She is an absolute vision in white!!!  Doesn’t she help prove that you can never go wrong with white?
