How far can you push the boundaries with lace whilst still looking classy?
Personally, I think it differs from person to person, some people can really pull off wearing certain risque clothes while others tend to look a little tacky.
This post is inspired by Kirsten Stewart's numerous red carpet appearances in her risque lace Zuhair Murad ensembles. The lace jumpsuit was a little over the top in my opinion, a little too revealing and not as classy as it could have looked, and has looked on the runway.
Here are some other celebrities and fashionistas in their risque lace pieces, some looking very elegant and some not so much. My favourites are Blake Lively in Zuhair Abbas, Louise Roe in Femme D'armes and Olivia Palermo in Valentino; they have nailed the look. Olivia P always looks oh so classy and that's what I love about her style. I love Leighton Meester's Marchesa jumpsuit from the front, she looks absolutely stunning but not so much from the back. Laetitia Casta's look is atrocious - she could have at least worn better lingerie? and what are those stripper heels? Hope she fired her stylist after this appearance.
